Blair
helped kill my brother
06.04.06
My
brother was killed in Iraq on 30th Jan 2005 when his plane was shot
down. There were 10 souls in total who lost their lives on that plane...the
largest loss of life in a single event during the war. That term was
used, almost like it was something to be achieved.
I want to meet with the excuse of a man we have the misfortune to
call our prime minister to make him look in my eyes and tell me why
he helped to kill my brother.
His penny pinching ways gambled with the safety of our troops. Bob's
crash was only a matter of time. If not him then some other mother's
son would be dead.
I'm trying to get full protection for our troops. Hearing that your
brother has been killed by insurgents is devastating but to hear that
having foam on board may have saved him. Foam is as standard on planes
in other airforces worldwide but not our boys.
Despite relentless requests the cost has been seen to be too great
and so the foam not installed.
I've paid the ultimate cost with losing my brother. A price the government
will pay for. In the dark days that have now become my life since
I lost him I thought so many times how was I ever going to meet with
other families. It felt at times that we were kept from meeting with
other military families. I wish to help where I can. I was fortunate
to meet with some of you on 18th March, which was a priviledge. I'd
like to stay in contact.
I plan to come to London on 26th April and will bring my mother. I'd
love other hercules families to come also. I spoke with Andrew Burgin
[MFAW] and was told to try and get as many as I could.
Well I've been doing some media work building up to this Sunday. I've
spoken with a reporter for my local BBC TV prog. We are hoping to
work together to get this out to the public and hopefully to local
families who are affected by Iraq and to the service community.
If I can get you guys as much support and coverage then I'll do what
I can.
Keep up the good work.
