From
an Ex-Soldier
Received 03-02-06
Hi there, I have just been directed to your site by a friend.
As an ex-soldier myself, and the father of
a young soldier who has now served two and a half years and who
is probably going to Afghanistan in August, I would like to offer
my full support in the fight against the illegal war which is
more about oil than any moral stand against terrorism.
I served twice in Northern Ireland, and also in the Falklands during my service,
and whilst soldiers tragically died horribly in both of those two theatres,
it was not considered quite as repugnant as the young people who are dying
in this war, as the two places previously mentioned were considered by the
majority in our country as places that were justified to
send our troops.
The people who are killing our young brave people
today are the next best things to animals, animals who become martyrs
when the kill and maim our kids. Meanwhile our kids are simply
pawns in a massive corporate game of Monopoly being played out
in Downing Street and in Washington DC.
If there is any way I can help in the fight to bring
our young people home, I will be more than willing.
Thanks for all your efforts,
Name witheld.
