Glasgow author Laura Marney Dear Cherie I hope your arrangements for your holidays are going smoothly. I expect like every other mum in the country you will be running round getting everything ready, and if your family is like most others, mum will do all the work and get little in the way of thanks. Why do we do it? Because we love our kids, we want the best for them, and we pray that they grow up healthy, happy fulfilled lives.
Look at the photos of Gordon Gentle, I am sure you have similar ones of your own kids, placed proudly around your house. I am sure your heart bleeds for this poor Brit mum. I am sure you don’t want this. Well lets do something about this Cherie, you are clever and you know how to get things done, please do anything and every thing in your power to stop our sons being needlessly killed. Rose Gentle doesn’t have your prominent position but she loved her boy as much as we love ours, as much as you love yours.
