Pte Gavin Williams The Stop Beastings in the Army Website was set up to campaign and protest against the use of an illegal barbaric punishment exercise known in the British Army as "beasting".
My Son, Private Gavin Williams died as a result of his own senior officers in the Army committing this illegal military act without any duty of care.
He was subjected to this degrading torturous punishment exercise on one of the hottest days of the year on 3rd July 2006
Gavin was ordered the punishment by the Adjutant captain Mark Davies for letting off a fire extinguisher at one of his guests at the mess ball in a silly drunken prank with friends one Saturday night.
But should that have cost Gavin his life?

It is now six years since we went into Iraq. On June 28th it will be five years to the day since I lost my boy. It's a day I can't get away from. I can remember watching the news when it said that a British soldier had been killed. I looked at the TV and saw the body of a boy on the ground. No, it can't be Gordon, I thought, as I would have been told by now. But it was. Four hours later I was told it was Gordon.
