Remove our troops ASAP
My boyfriend of four years is currently serving in Iraq. I have been up all night, trying to find out any information on the helicopter crash and rioting in Basra. Why is my partners life being risked for a cause he doesnt even know?
I know that joining the army inevitably incurs risk, however I don't believe in sending our forces out to a war zone, that no-one even knows the reasoning behind. If the worst news arises about my boyfriend, I want him to feel proud to have faught for a cause he believed in, unfortunately I don't believe this would be the case. I am so proud of him and all the service men and women serving in operations. We do need to impose stabilty on Iraq's government and police etc and remove our troops asap. From todays rioting events its clear that not only do our troops not want to be there, Iraq has made it very clear that we now, like U.S troops are unwelcome.
