families coming to the lobby Received 30-03-06 Hi My daughters and I recently joined you on the "Bring the troops home " march. I also gain great support from a group called Families of UK Forces in Iraq. We chat about our fears and our joys and I have gained comfort from not being alone. I pasted the petition and link onto their site and several have now signed the petition. I shall be coming to London with my daughter on the 26th, after seeing the petition two other mum's and a dad from Families of UK Forces in Iraq wish to come "lobbying". We are arranging to meet up and will join you in Parliament. Several other ladies on this site would love to come but are spending precious time with husbands/sons etc as they are due to go to Iraq (April/May)on op Telic 8, many for their 2nd/3rd tour. When will that man give up and admit he was/is wrong? Does he actually know the names of any of the soldiers that have died (except for the sons of Rose Gentle and Reg Keys), and then would he be able to name them as Gordon and Thomas. I would love to put that question to him. He could at least give all their memories dignity by acknowledgment instead of trying to brush them under the carpet. THEY MIGHT BE AN EMBARASSMENT TO YOU MR BLAIR....THEY ARE HERO'S AND PRECIOUS TO THE REST OF US.... Keep safe all kind regards Juliet (a soldier's mum) |
