Mother of British soldier - We live in fear
I am the mother of a soldier who is 25 and has a little girl aged 3.
His wife and I are always petrified of the news every day in case another soldier has lost his life for nothing.

My son has had one deployment in Iraq and it now looks like he will be going again at the end of this year. What a waste of good humans - trying to help others and losing their lives because of it. How much longer can we keep sacrificing these lads?

We live in fear of the news, telephones ringing and that awfull knot in your stomach every time you hear there has been another life lost.

My son like others loves his job and is thriving in his career, but please don't let any more die. The Iraqis blow each other up, let them do that if that's what they want, but bring our troops home NOW.
